FUN DETECTED IN WORLD OF WARCRAFT
This unneeded change to the Bloody Coin Purse happened in the World of Warcraft:Shadowlands 9.0 pre-patch.
Apparently a GM told someone on Wowhead that they didn’t know if it was a bug or done intentionally. Though they don’t seem to have any intention of fixing it.
Blizzard DOES like to do these kind of things, and they don’t like to explain WHY they did it. But what I don’t understand is WHY it would need to be nerfed in the first place. I understand nerfing certain farms that are easily exploitable by bots, but this wasn’t one of them.
To get the Savage Bloods needed to get them, you have to go out to Nagrand and capture the elite wolves. This is a bit tricky because you have to get their health down pretty low, and then throw a trap out before they die. That can be a pain because even if you remove all your gear, you can still one shot them at level 60.
BUT WHY THOUGH?
This is either an oversight that Blizzard doesn’t really want to fix.
Or, it was part of an intentional effort to get players into Shadowlands content and keep them there. I wouldn’t put it past Kotick and other executives to have been pushing for things like this.
The 9.0 level squish resulted in a TON of nerfs and bugs. Now most of the raw gold farms in raids and dungeons are now pretty much not worth doing anymore. The reason for that, as far as I know, is the vendor prices dropping due to the lower item levels.
Hopefully this is eventually either fixed, or they just come out and say it was done intentionally.
Blizzard better stay the hell away from the Cards of Omens, which is about the only thing left in the Garrison that can bring in any amount of gold.
WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT IT?
There is not a lot World of Warcraft players can do, Blizzard doesn’t often revert these changes. But we should keep bringing it up until someone at Blizzard gives a straight answer. They have been a bit more open to feedback lately, maybe they’ll correct this mistake.
Then we can hound them about letting us use ISBoxer again.
*sigh*
That’s all.
