The despawn timers for herbs and ore in World of Warcraft are too short.
I’ll start this by stating very clearly: This is not due to multiboxers. The de-spawn timer for herbs and ore starts as soon as any player collect them.
This is more of a minor annoyance than anything. But I’ve noticed that herb and ore spawns will disappear RIGHT after I click on them. Often showing a message saying I can’t collect it. Or they will disappear right as I’m flying up to them. This happens because there are usually other players gathering herbs at the same time. Herbs and ore only stay on the map for about a minute after the first player grabs them. That means if you’re not following RIGHT behind the other player(s), they’ll often be gone before you can get them.
The fix is probably pretty simple: Increase the de-spawn time.
It’s not really fair that one or two players collecting herbs can make it harder for everyone else, simply due to not getting to them in time.
The only time multiboxers are to blame is if there are ten (I think) characters hitting one spawn, and that is very rare now with no input broadcasting of any kind allowed. Plus there’s also all the harassment and hate directed at them from players in game and everywhere else.
Make herbs and ore stay longer once collected by a player, it will make things easier and more fair for everyone!
